5. San Antonio de Areco

This is a tour in the old land of the gauchos, on the ancient frontier with the indigenous tribes: the area of San Antonio de Areco, a tiny colonial town with majestic buildings from the early 20th century. We will visit some well-known Areco artisans (leather, silver, textiles) and the Gaucho museum, which holds an interesting collection on the Pampas’ history. We will have lunch with traditional asado in one of the exclusive estancias of the area, where we will spend the rest of the day.
